Challenge
Strip colors had to be read accurately across different lighting and phone cameras. Uploading to the cloud was both slow and a privacy concern for health data.
Approach
We designed a color calibration card and trained a TensorFlow Lite model that runs on-device, mapping colors to values in seconds with no network required. We layered a doctor-share mode and a 7-day trend chart on top.
Result
The app crossed 500K downloads in 60+ countries with a 4.5 App Store rating. Color-reading accuracy reached 94% and first-week churn dropped by 30%.
